Bill has been working to strengthen and support the local agriculture industry, and his latest effort — Ag City — brings that mission to life. This new initiative unites local farmers, agricultural businesses, and the community around a shared purpose: building stronger connections and promoting the future of local agriculture. Ag City encourages people to shop locally, support their farmers, and recognize the essential role agriculture plays in our everyday lives. Through lasting partnerships and community involvement, the project is helping to grow a more connected, sustainable, and resilient future for local agriculture.
Ag City also partners with the local school district through the Incubators program, which helps high school students explore agriculture careers through mentorships, internships, and real-world experience. Education and youth development are a big part of our mission, and we’re proud to help students discover opportunities in this vital field.
Coming soon, we’ll be launching the Ag City Visitors Bureau. A dedicated space to showcase the people, services, and businesses that make up our local ag community. It will serve as a resource for residents, partners, and businesses to discover all that Ag City has to offer. Through connection, visibility, and shared purpose, Ag City is helping build a stronger, more resilient future for local agriculture.
